COMMON QUESTIONS

Flooring installations FAQs

What types of hardwood flooring do you install in St. Louis?

We install site-finished unfinished hardwood (oak, walnut, hickory, maple, hard pine, reclaimed), prefinished solid and engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl plank (LVP/LVT), and porcelain or natural stone tile. We’re happy to install owner-supplied material or help you select from trusted suppliers.

Most residential installation projects take 1–4 days depending on square footage, species, and pattern. Site-finished hardwood requires additional dry time between coats, typically 2–3 days for finishing after installation. We’ll give you a precise timeline in your written quote.

We handle light furniture movement as part of the job. We ask that you arrange for removal of very heavy items (pianos, large appliances, built-in furniture) before our crew arrives. We’ll confirm the specifics during your free estimate.

Yes. Subfloor prep is included in every installation quote. We level, test for moisture, install vapor barriers where required, and address any structural issues before a single plank goes down. Skipping this step is why floors fail; we don’t skip it.

In most cases, yes. Site-finished hardwood is the easiest to match because we sand, stain, and finish in place, we can blend seamlessly with existing floors. Prefinished and LVP matches depend on availability of the same product line. We’ll assess this during the estimate.
